Who We Are
Al-Houlah Association: A local, non-profit Lebanese association working in both Lebanese and Palestinian communities.
Established in 1973, Al-Houlah Association focuses on cultural, athletic, and social sectors. Since 1999, the Association has maintained registration and certification from the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under license number 99/AD. Al-Houlah Association is located in Borj Al Shamali, Tyre.
The Association consists of (and run by) a group of volunteers within the general commission that are managed by an elected governing body. It relies on charitable donations and the contributions of its members to run and continue operations.
Vision
– Serve as a model for initiative and leadership in problem solving and the provision of community services.
– Enhancing the social, cultural, and intellectual aptitude and opportunities of the association’s members.
– Acting as a support system for community resilience against socio-economic challenges.
Goals of the Association
– Improving the living conditions of different groups within the local society.
– Providing cultural, educational, and athletic activities and programs for children and young adults.
– Empowering and strengthening the role of women through community ties and interactive programs in the association.
-Providing development programs and services through a network of internal and external relationships and advocacy campaigns.
– Promoting the affiliative, national, and pioneering roles of various social groups.
– Providing safe spaces for varying social groups to practice cultural, scientific, and recreational activities or hobbies.
